Manuel Maria Barbosa lHedois du Bocage (Setúbal, September 15,1765 – Lisbon, Mercês, December 21,1805) was a Portuguese national poet and, possibly, the greatest representative of Portuguese Arcadianism. Although an icon of this literary movement, he is a figure inserted in a period of transition from the classical style to the romantic style!
